Fashion of the Future Belongs to the Crystal Materials
“There is nothing that cannot be done, if we rise our voices as one”
~~~ BILYANA IVONN
Bilyana Ivonn has participated at a number of prestigious shows for supreme couture and vanguard fashion. In Louvre, during the fashion week in 2003, her cloth lines participated together with the most famous world designers – Valentino, Karl Lagerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier, John Galliano, Vivienne Westwood, Paco Rabanne, Sonia Rykiel, Jean Luc Amsler. She started her career in 1993 as a face for Metropolitan, Paris.
What are the colors in your fashion collection?
Golden ochre, ultraviolet, pearl diamond, and precious metals. The play of colors is alluring and fascinating. My fashion line is intended to wave innocence, freedom, and tender light.
Whom is your fashion line addressed to?
To Future. And particularly to Woman. Eccentric female forms have to be notable and to find their reflection into the softness and color palette of the general designer line. For the men’s line I foresee garments made of steel and silver because they have the armoring effect of power and adamant. In regard to the designers archetype for children I envisage transparent materials in many different ultra-nuances from lucent opal, beryl crystal, and rose kunzite, to pale yellow brulee and golden-brown amber.
How do you imagine fashion in more than 50 years from now?
Change of materials. Presence of more crystals interwoven into the fabric fiber. The more a garment radiates electricity, the more irresistible the garment will be; the more its message will re-shape reality. At present the civilization is moving toward a shift of the old models of perception and this inevitably shall affect the mental paradigm of the collective consciousness. It is essential to compose imagination perfectly and to apply it in practice. Present materials are nothing but an anachronism. Water-proof of fabrics is a sign for technocratic improvement. The presence of more gold will bring more softness, light, and warmth. Mirror clothes will provoke and sublimate. The motion from a woven to woven will gradate and its nuances will influence the transformation of personality. I hope the clothes of future will have the power for auto-hypnosis, I foresee they will be able to maintain spiritual balance, nobleness, and elegance.
What is, according to you, the biggest invention of the Twentieth Century?
Technology. But, without imagination and correctly postulated ideas that serve creativity and reason, technologies turn into oxymoron.
And, what is the most beautiful invention of humanity?
Naturally, the woman.
What are your feelings about fashion?
Inspiration and patience. For me fashion is a sentiment and passion for juggling with new ideas, a cult for the new message for change, creation, and progress.
