I had the pleasure of being invited to the Launch of Esther Nash's Townhouse Art Gallery located at 46 4th Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. This up and coming trendy spot in Park Slope Brooklyn, New York has become a mecca for many aspiring artists.

Esther Nash, a New York based fashion designer, model, socialite & fashion expert, is the epitome of a chick on a quest. The fashion world's former prodigy is all grown up. At the age of 18, Esther owned and operated her first retail store. At the age of 19, opened a second store, and at the age of 20, opened a third store. By the age of 21, Esther was having her own runway shows, thereby reaching the rank of a young professional designer

Esther is a 3rd generation New Yorker and a graduate of the most prestigous, accredited Art and Fashion school of New York City coupled with a good family background which is why it does not surprise me that she would utimately open her own art gallery.

Another fabulous featured Artist at the gallery opening was Lee Milby. Lee has been quoted saying “Art. Some days I hate this word. Other days, it seems to be the only thing that matters. I think that “art” coincides with “love”. That there is definitely an art /to/ love. To say that “I love art” is easier to say than “I love you” because the way that I, that people understand art is completely internal while the external is unknown. Unknown=people, internal=unknown to people. art=the closest that people can get to communicating things they really mean.”

Hungarian Artist Shoshana Kertesz fine art will also be exhibited at the gallery for the next two weeks.

Originally from Budapest, Hungary, Shoshana relocated to Jerusalem, Israel in 2003 and is now currently residing in Brooklyn, New York.

Inspired by many great artist, Shoshana wanted to become a painter from early childhood and studied art for 4 years.

Her work mostly consist of portraits, musical and jewish themes. For more info on this lovely artist please visit http://www.shoshanakertesz.com.

Artist Rob Servo work stands as a synthesis of his visual and musical modes of thought. His objective is to combine both worlds in order to create a new outlook on hislife and his art pieces. In his new line of paintings he incorporated the melding of color with irregular shapes giving form to coded narratives of desire. The viewer is confronted with a juxtaposition; recognizable imagery in a visually flat picture plane and is mixed with different textures and a luminous glow on a shallow three dimensional surface. Giving a new perspective the viewer is open to create his/her own story in the space provided.
