All my life strangers and friends have told me to be a model. SO I thought, why not try. I am only young once and since I first started at age 14, it has been amazing fun.

How did you get started in modelling?
In JHS, on weekends for one year, I attended and graduated from the Barbizon Modeling school course. At age 14, I attended open calls and was signed by the Marge McDermott agency. In High School I was a member of the Model club. I was chosen to model in the annual fashion show all four years that I attended NYC’s HS of Art and Design.

How has your life changed after you involved?
My life changed after I became a model. Everything is focused on appearance, improvement, posture, and good health. I exercise daily and maintain a balanced diet. I try new poses and create different looks. Every event I attend is a networking event and all my friends are in the industry.

What is your favorite part about being a model?
Lights, camera, action!! Its exciting to be on the runway and to be photographed. I love working with magazine editors, writers and photographers to develop new facets of my personality. Clothing is an expression of oneself. As a designer and model, I can express myself 100% to achieve my personal statement.

What are your likes and dislikes about modelling?
I love clothing, style and make-up. I actually apply my own make-up for most shoots. I really am able to implement my talent as an artist with my face as the palette. Long hours and very intricate poses can sometimes cause pain and fatigue. Some shoots I leave with leg or foot cramps from twisting and standing for 8 hours. However, when I see the results, I forget the pain and just am thrilled.

What are the qualities for you to be a model?
Great bone structure, slender frame, attitude, poise, professionalism, grace, and the ability to make any garment look like it costs a million dollars and its worth every penny for the effect.

What are your influences?
Art, Theater, fashion books past and present, Opera, ballet, sports, current events. Try to always know what is happening at all times in the world.

What was the hardest challenge for you?
Graduation F.I.T from the fashion design major.

What types of assignments are you attracted most?
Working on projects that i be live in. I feel it is the best type of modeling work, being familiar with the brand and product is key.

It could be good or bad...

Went to audition and it turned out to be a joke on me.
Went to the so called address and it was a residence not a studio or office it was very weird. I left as soon as i came with the other model. We both gave eachother a look like something is wrong with this casting and we should leave together now.
The clue was there was no receptionist just 2 men. Very casual dressed and did not ask for comp cards or gave us anything to fill out. Were just talking about themseleves and they are really rich and single. The other actor and i knew that they were looking for a wife that was a model.
It was bizarre.
This was before i had a agent/manager i found the casting in backstage. I contacted backstage to let them know the audition was not legitimate. Backstage took care of those 2 men.

What would bring a smile to your face?
Currently in negotiations regarding me being the face of this new fragrance that will be marketed in recent months if all goes well.
I will be the spokes model for this product if it happens, so keep a look out for me.

Cast as a fashion TV and a well known fashion expert.

What kinds of things would you like to see in your future?
Well known enough that i do not have to go on auditions any more just booking jobs right and left would be ideal.

Tell a little secret about yourself that no-one knows …
Was 3 rd runner up for my HS prom queen

What's the best advice ever given to you?
Never give up on achieving your dreams you will happier if you can enjoy your work.

What are some Do's and Don'ts in the business that you have learned?
Do not expect anything in life. If you want something you need to work for it. That is the good honest way is the only way in my opinion.

What sort of tips or advice would you give somebody who is looking to modeling?
Keep a log and ask around first before you just go to any agency.
Go with a family member to castings calls.
Try to with a friend do not go alone or if you do leave the number and name of the person you are meeting with an address just to be safe.
Business hours are 9-7 the latest anything past that you should second guess.
Also never go to a casting on a Sunday Sat is odd also it depends though.

Is there anything else, to say, we did not ask?
Have a cell just for emergency's just in case.
Do not take risks ever.
Better to be safe at all times then sorry.

wish you the very best of luck models!
