Interview with Misha Zubarev                 Misha Zubarev' Portfolio

All rights reserved. Unauthorized use or reproduction of coyrighted materials is strictly prohibited. How did you get started in modeling?
My modeling career began coincidentally when I went to a talent agency for acting, and one of the agents booked me for modeling work

How has your life changed after you involved?
Modeling [and acting] gave me a new perspective on directing, and in a way it is thanks to modeling that I am so comfortable with communicating my direction to actors. It also made me much more sensitive and aware of the pressure of castings, and I am very delicate with actors when I hold casting sessions because of what I've learned.

What is your favorite part about being a model?
Being free of responsibility of production, being someone else, and escaping the “real” world

What types of assignments are you attracted most? Editorial, commercial print, runway

What would be your "dream job" in life?
My dream job would be owning my own Motion Picture & Television Studio where I can freely direct and produce my own content, surround my self with my own team of respected professionals, and create projects that entertain, educate, and inspire people all over the world

What's the best advice ever given to you?
Be honest, be good, be patient, and do what's right… the rest will come

What are some Do's and Don'ts in the business that you have learned?

Don't #1 - The biggest don't is NEVER talk back to your director on set. They always know what they want better than the model, and if they say to do something, don't argue. However, if you have problems with their direction, you should address them privately, with no one else around, and express your concern then. You will gain their respect, and they will think of you as a person and not “just another model”

Don't #2 - Another Don't is please do not gossip! Even though we are all prone to gossiping, it's really not good and can ruin the reputation of both parties, so please do not do that

Do's - The biggest do that I can think of is always stay positive and have fun. You're a model, and that word means exactly that; you're the model for tens of thousands of people who will be seeing that ad, and your job is to create and sell a positive image that can inspire people to buy the product. So stay positive and put on your best face on the job

Thank you . We've enjoyed talking to you.
